Food & collation-shrink packaging using eXtreme Performance polymers – Exceed™ XP, Exceed™, Enable™

At Chinaplas 2017, ExxonMobil Chemical and Windmöller & Hölscher are continuing their collaboration of more than 15 years with a demonstration of the benefits that high-performance films made on a VAREX II blown film line, can deliver across the value chain.

At W&H’s booth, a 5-layer POD food packaging film, which includes Exceed™ XP and Exceed™ performance polymers, and a 5-layer POD collation shrink film, including Enable™ 4002 and Exceed performance polymers, will be displayed, both produced with the latest VAREX II machine technology.

ExxonMobil Chemical application experts have designed a food packaging film formulation that delivers eXtreme Performance to protect and preserve food products through:

  • Excellent optics
  • Extreme toughness
  • Improved toughness - stiffness balance
  • Outstanding sealing performance

The collation shrink formulation is designed to deliver thin, strong film that enables exceptionally tight bundling and uniform shrink to keep products secure through:

  • High holding force and toughness
  • Excellent shrink performance
  • Outstanding optical properties
  • Balanced in-use performance combined with maximum film extrusion output
  • Substantial downgauging potential

Additional details on the 5-layer POD blown film line as well as the film formulations will be available at the W&H booth, 5.1C61 at Chinaplas 2017.
